OEM vs ODM: What to Prepare Before Requesting a Quote
Choose a practical development route, then prepare the information needed for a useful quotation.
Read articleBuild a clear shortlist around grooming tasks, configurations and the needs of your sales channel.

Start with the task your customer wants to complete. Full-coat clipping, paw and detail trimming, nail filing, brushing and drying call for different product comparisons. A compact detail trimmer should not be evaluated as though it were a full-size clipper.
HOLYTACHI’s pet care range includes clippers and trimmers, nail care tools, dryers and bathing products, brushes and everyday care products. Use those groups to create a focused shortlist before comparing individual models.
Record the exact model and fitted head alongside the image. A similar housing may be offered with different accessories or controls. Check the specification sheet and sample against the configuration you intend to sell, including any replacement parts or consumables you want to offer.
Set up a repeatable sample review that matches the intended use and the product instructions. Record handling, access to controls, attachment fit, cleaning steps and the condition of the product after the agreed checks. Avoid treating an attractive demonstration video as evidence for every configuration.
If you plan to advertise a particular performance claim, identify the evidence needed to support it before approving packaging or sales copy. Do not transfer a claim from one model to another without checking.
Add your target market, channel, estimated quantity and branding requirements to the shortlist. Confirm packaging contents, user instructions, available documentation and any destination-specific electrical configuration. Product test reports should be checked for the selected model and intended market.
Finish with a comparison sheet that links the model, specification revision, sample comments and quoted configuration. This makes the final buying decision easier to review and reduces confusion when the order moves into production.
