OEM vs ODM: What to Prepare Before Requesting a Quote
Choose a practical development route, then prepare the information needed for a useful quotation.
Read articleSeparate factory-level evidence from product-level documents and check that each applies to your project.

A supplier review usually involves several kinds of evidence. A factory management-system certificate, a social audit and a product test report answer different questions. Combining their logos on a presentation does not make them interchangeable.
HOLYTACHI publicly lists ISO 9001 and BSCI at factory level and provides product test reports for selected models. A buyer should review the actual documents, their scope and their relationship to the proposed order rather than treating a general certification list as coverage for every product.
ISO 9001 concerns a quality management system. It is not an individual product approval. BSCI concerns social-compliance auditing and should not be described as a product safety certification. For either, identify the company and site named in the document and check the relevant dates and scope.
Ask whether the manufacturing location for your order is the location covered. If a document is incomplete or the site name differs, resolve the discrepancy before relying on it in your supplier assessment.
For product test reports, identify the model numbers, product description, tested configuration and referenced requirements. Check that the document covers the features and electrical arrangement you plan to order. A related model name or a similar housing is not enough to establish coverage.
List the specification sheet, manual, packaging information and applicable reports needed for the project. Record which documents have been received, who reviewed them and which questions remain open. Do this before approving claims for packaging or a product listing.
Keep copies linked to the approved specification and order. If a component, function or electrical configuration changes, revisit the document checklist. Supplier documents support procurement decisions; their existence alone should not be presented as a guarantee that every destination-market obligation has been met.
